Card games were never really about the cards — they were about the company. But families scatter, old card partners move to warmer states, and some weeks the table just doesn’t fill. So we keep a free card club inside the X-Poker app, where real people sit at real (well, virtual) tables and play the unhurried way we like.

The honest part, up front: the club is free. The chips are fun chips only — never real money. You can’t buy chips, win money, or lose money. It’s just for fun and good company, the same as a kitchen table — minus the driving.

Joining takes about ten minutes, and you only do it once. Here’s the whole process, step by step.

How to join the club

  1. Get the X-Poker app

    Tap the button below — it takes you to the official download page. Install the free app on your phone or tablet, the same way you’d install any other app.

  2. Create your free account

    Open the app and sign up. Pick any nickname you like — first names and grandpa jokes both work. No credit card, no payment screen, ever.

  3. Find our club by its ID

    In the app, open the club section and search for our club ID:

    We’re setting up the club room right now. Email us and we’ll send you the ID personally the moment the doors open — then just send a request to join.

  4. Pull up a chair

    Once you’re in, open the club, pick a table with an empty seat, and sit down. Your fun chips are waiting, and if you run out, the app hands you more. Say hello in the chat — this crowd says hello back.

Why we run it this way

We wanted somewhere with the temperament of a kitchen table: no money on the line, no rush, no strangers being unpleasant. A private club with an ID at the door gives us exactly that — everyone at the table found it the same way you did. Share the club ID with your own family and friends, and Sunday cards can survive any number of moving trucks.

Questions people ask before joining

Is it free?

Yes. Joining is free, playing is free, staying is free. There is nothing to buy.

Do I need a credit card?

No. You never enter a card number anywhere in this process.

Is this gambling?

No. Fun chips have no cash value — they can’t be bought and they can’t be cashed out. Losing every chip costs you nothing but bragging rights; the app simply gives you more.

What if I can’t find the club?

It happens — apps move buttons around. Email us and tell us where you got stuck; we’ll walk you in personally.

Can I play with my own family?

Absolutely — give them the club ID and you can all sit at one table from three different time zones. Grandkids included.
